Recipe: Blueberry Milkshake

We really enjoy blueberry milkshakes at this time of year. It's a simple pleasure that we can whip up quickly. We keep vanilla ice cream in the fridge almost never the other 10.5 months of the year, but while local blueberries are in, it becomes a staple.

I hesitate to post a recipe, but here goes.

Blueberry Milkshakes
2 servings

1/4 pint of blueberries, more or less
1 tsp sugar
2 dashes vanilla
1/2 dash cinnamon
enough milk to achieve your desired consistency\
4 scoops good vanilla ice cream

Combine everything but the ice cream in the blender. Grind up the mixture at high speed for longer than you think you should. The goal is to pulverize the blueberry skins. Add ice cream and blend, keeping milk on hand to add more as necessary to achieve desired consistency.

Yours is one of the few other blueberry milkshake recipes Ive found that (like ours) also uses vanilla extract. I think it really makes it pop.
