Stuff like this disgusts me. Lots of people shared it from Huffington Post. It seems to come from something called the Hi! Cardstore.
Regardless, moms are the only kind of parents, right? Are we supposed to say "Aw, I miss and appreciate my mom."? Rather than saying "Wow, I just watched a video whose bedrock position was completely sexist."? My reaction fell on the latter side.

I had a very similar response to this video. First, I knew what the premise was before I clicked on it, because it's such a cliche, so that element of "surprise, this isn't really the kind of job you were thinking of, but we should change our attitude about how much mothers work" didn't work for me. And then the analogy didn't work for me at all. Having been both a full time working person and a full time parent, I don't think you can equate the two. They're just different. On top of that, of course, is your good point about the gender discrimination and stereotyping that's so frustrating and wrong. And then to discover on top of all that, that it's an advertisement just rubbed salt into the wound. Why were so many people taken with it?
