Our beloved Pirates failed to make the playoffs this year but did secure a winning record for only the fifth time since 1993. It took until the 162nd game of the season, but they made it to 82-80.
For the second year in a row and the fourth time since official tracking began in 2011, a member of our family has predicted the Pirates win total exactly. The team exceeded Teddy's and my pessimistic outlooks but failed to reach Charlie's characteristically rosy win total.
